Alla Italia, Belgium

Alla Italia, Belgium Visited with: PG UE, Carl Hartley, Nick Whitworth & Scott Chadwick. Visit Date: September 2014 Please Note: Entry is always through an open access point and not by forcing our way in….. We are explorers, not vandals. History Alla Italia is an abandoned health spa located in a wealthy Belgian town. The building was abandoned after a more modern spa was built close by, however, I cannot find a date as to when that was. It must have been recent as most of the interior is in very good condition. My Visit Alla Italia for me was at the very top of the list for t[...]

My Visit This was our last location on day one of the tour and with the light fading it was a race against time to get here before it got to dark. So anyway, time won and when we arrived it was pitch black, luckily we found a sign pointing us in the right direction to walk amd within a few minutes we wer[...]

Chateau Verdure, France

Chateau Verdure Visited with: PG UE, Carl Hartley, Nick Whitworth & Scott Chadwick. Visit Date: September 2014 History I cannot seem to find any history for this chateau, however, if or when I do I will update theis post. My Visit This Chateau is located in a more affluent neighbourhood than our first location. The building is hidden away by the overgrown tree lines and bushes as seems to be the case with a lot of the Chateaus we visited. Also, compared to the first location this place is in very bad shape. We knew before heading here that the building was in a bad way and tha[...]

Chateau De Singes, France

Chateau De Singes aka Castle of Monkeys Visited with: PG UE, Carl Hartley, Nick Whitworth & Scott Chadwick. Visit Date: September 2014 History Château De Singes was built in the 17th century in a very quite rural area of France. There are a few stories about the history of this place but how solid or true they are I am unsure. One of the main stories of this Château was that the last known owner was an elderly gentleman who was known to be a little recluse and very hard to deal with. One account of this behaviour was when a fire broke out at the Château. Smoke could be seen from t[...]
