Sagrada Familia, Barcelona

Construction began in 1882, 135 years ago at the time of my visit in 2017. The current estimated completion date is 2026 - 2028 but this will more than likely change. Information In 1882 construction of Sagrada Família commenced under architect Francisco Paula de Villar until 1883, when Gaudí became involved when Francisco resigned as the head architect. Taking over the project, Gaudí transformed it with his architectural and engineering style, combining Gothic and curvilinear Art Nouveau forms. We are explorers, not vandals. History Pensionnat Catholique was a boarding school which now sits derelict in France. I cannot find much history on the school at this time other than the school was built in 1937 and the Chapel was completed in 1939. Brief History of St Joseph's Seminary St Joseph's College, Upholland is a Former Roman Catholic seminary, situated at Walthew Park, Upholland, Lancashire, England. The foundation of the large building was laid in April 1880 and college was opened in 1883. The buildings have recently been deconsecrated. St Joseph's College was founded in 1880 by Bishop Bernard O'Reilly to be the Seminary serving the North West of England.
