Club Photography – Advanced Colour PDI Winner

On the 6th June 2017 the Presentation evening for the Poulton Photographic Society was held for the 2016/2017 season.

Each year the club holds 3 quarterly PDI internal competitions of which you can enter 3 categories, Colour, Monochrome or Nature. You can only enter 3 images in each quarterly competition which will equal 9 images total for the year.

This year I decided to concentrate on the colour section. Below are my results.

PDI 1 – Chapel of Decay (No Score), Abandoned Faith (Commended – 2 Points), Beth (No Score)
PDI 2 – Stacie (First Place – 10 Points), Forgotten Possessions (Highly Commended – 4 Points), Beauty within Decay (No Score)
PDI 3 – Black Widow (No Score), Lady of the Manor (First Place – 10 Points), Pip (Commended – 2 Points)

My final score for the year was 28 Points. Going in to the last competition of the year I was 6 points behind in second place. I decided I had to throw 3 good images in if I wanted a chance of winning, luckily it paid of and I took the 1st place.

So far this year has been a great one for me, with gaining my BPE2* and now this, I could not be happier.

Below are a few of the images that I entered.

Lady of the Manor

Stacie
This image has been very successful for me with first place in the PDI, 7 acceptances so far in the BPE circuit. Also the image scored full marks 20/20 in the 5 way battle of the local clubs and also scored 18/20 in the Battle of the sexes competition.
